Scout references Existential Kink often in our Tub Talks Episode. And then, even more throughout our friendship. One time, we were sitting in her living room. I was telling her about the dramas in my personal life. She said, βWhat is it in you that gets off on people turning on you?β The question took me aback. I wanted to push against it - to be a victim to the behavior of others. But underlyingly, I felt this truth in the inherent to the question. I did value something in it, and that kernel is worth exploring. So I opened this book, her guidelines: Existential Kink. Iβm excited to do the exercises together, to talk about what we are learning about ourselves - the reasons why I love not writing the book I keep saying Iβm going to write myself. The half-baked projects that have gathered dust on the shelf, being blown off.
